About the Role

EazyPay Tech is looking for an experienced Payment Sound Box Development Engineer to join its engineering team in Pune.
In this role, you will work on connected payment-device solutions including Static QR Payment Sound Box, Dynamic QR Payment Sound Box, NFC-enabled payment devices and Android smart payment terminals.
You will contribute across embedded software, Android development, payment integrations, device communication and backend connectivity while working on technologies used by banks, fintech companies, payment service providers and OEMs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop and maintain Payment Sound Box applications and device software.
  • Work on Static QR and Dynamic QR payment implementations.
  • Develop and integrate NFC and EMV contactless payment functionality.
  • Integrate payment devices with banking APIs, payment gateways and backend platforms.
  • Implement communication using MQTT, REST APIs and IoT protocols.
  • Develop and support Terminal Management System integration.
  • Implement OTA firmware and software update mechanisms.
  • Troubleshoot device, connectivity and transaction-related issues.
  • Work with payment transaction technologies including ISO 8583 where applicable.
  • Collaborate with backend, QA, hardware and payment engineering teams.
  • Support testing, debugging and production readiness of payment devices.

Required Skills

  • Strong experience with Embedded Linux and/or Android development.
  • Hands-on programming experience with C/C++, Java or Kotlin.
  • Experience with Static and Dynamic UPI QR integrations.
  • Understanding of NFC and EMV contactless payment technologies.
  • Experience integrating REST APIs and backend services.
  • Knowledge of MQTT or similar IoT communication protocols.
  • Experience with banking APIs or payment gateway integrations.
  • Understanding of connected payment devices and transaction flows.
  • Familiarity with Terminal Management System concepts.
  • Knowledge of OTA firmware or application update processes.
  • Good debugging and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience developing Payment Sound Box products.
  • Experience with POS, SoftPOS or smart payment terminals.
  • Understanding of ISO 8583 transaction processing.
  • Previous experience in banking, fintech or payment technology.
  • Exposure to EMV certification or payment-device testing environments.
  • Experience with NFC/contactless acceptance solutions.
  • Knowledge of NCMC or transit payment environments is an advantage.
  • Experience working with OEM or payment-device manufacturers.
